Sickle Cell Spectrum

This piece is called "Sickle Cell Spectrum." I created this piece during the month of September, for Sickle Cell Awareness Month. This piece isnt about me but its about all of us together no matter what walk of life you come from. If you have Sickle Cell Anemia Disease this piece is for you!!! If you still have your spleen, if you have a port, or jaundice, we all deal with Sickle Cell differently, and that is what this piece is about. Its about the feelings, emotions, memories, and even drug usage that has been our life since growing up. Each color represents a path, each path represents a different story or life struggle that people with sickle cell has to go through in our life. This disease carries a mental and physical burden that will put us in a position, that forces us to be strong. So I made a strong peace to represent that. We are warriors and every day is a battle for us, and every morning we wake up is a blessing.
